Tom Dascombe: On target at Wolverhampton
Libys Dream sprang a 16-1 surprise in the New William Hill iPhone App Lady Wulfruna Stakes at Wolverhampton.
Ridden by Richard Kingscote and trained by Tom Dascombe, the winner was showing improved form and knuckled down well in the closing stages to overhaul 7-2 favourite Belgian Bill and win by a head.
The market leader looked all over the winner when driven to the front by Paul Hanagan a furlong out but couldn't withstand the eventual winner's late charge.
Clockmaker ran a sastisfactory Lincoln trial back in third.
"Thanks to the owner. He let us take her to France for a Listed race there. I know she had 20lb to find, but she's improving," Dascombe told At The Races.
"She travelled brilliantly and was really helped by the draw. Richard gave her a great ride I told him to keep her close to the pace without asking her to do anything."
