Prince De Beauchene: Impressive at Fairyhouse and now National favourite
11-10 favourite Prince De Beauchene underlined his John Smith's Grand National claims by storming to victory in the At The Races Bobbyjo at Fairyhouse.
Graham Wylie's charge was having his second start since joining Willie Mullins from Howard Johnson and could be called the winner from a long way out.
Paul Townend merely had to shake him up after the last to go on and score from former National runner-up Black Apalachi, who ran a fine race on his return from 686 days off the track.
Mullins said: "He showed a nice bit of improvement from Navan and I'd imagine he will go on to Aintree now for the National.
"He'll like the better ground judging by the size of his feet. He did everything nicely and I hope there will be more improvement to come from him."
