Requinto: Molecomb winner
Requinto (6-1) stayed on best of all to win a strongly-run renewal of the bet365 Molecomb Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on Tuesday.
David Wachman's Dansili colt has already run twice over six furlongs but both of his victories came at the minimum distance and he is now three from three at five furlongs.
Vocational was quick out of the traps and still led inside the final furlong but Mark Johnston's filly was swamped late on with Requinto leading the challenge.
He won going away by a length and a quarter at the line, with Burwaaz (7-1) second and Charles The Great (8-1) third.
Lordan said: "There were a few horses in front of me so I just got him out and got him a bit of racing room.
"They're only two-year-olds and it was only his fifth start so once I got a bit of room, he quickened up and went to the line very well.
"You'd say he might get six furlongs but five seems to be the best trip for him.
"He's very straightforward."
Coolmore representative Kevin Buckley added: "They went terribly quick in front but he's got lots of speed, just like his dam (Damson).
"The faster the ground, the better. David will see how he is and make a decision, but he could maybe be one for the Flying Childers."
