Sagramor (l): Heads to Royal Ascot after this Haydock win
Sagramor (15-2) booked his place at Royal Ascot when landing the Betfred Silver Bowl Handicap at Haydock.
For a moment in the straight it appeared Hughie Morrison's charge would fail to get a clear run as he was buried in behind horses.
But once the gap came on the rail, Sagramor scooted through the final furlong to score by three-quarters of a length from King Of Jazz.
Morrison said: "He's a proper little horse but, to be honest, I never thought he would be good enough to win a competitive handicap like this.
"As long as the ground stays good or faster, we should have a fun summer with him.
"The plan has always been to go to Royal Ascot for the Britannia Stakes and that is where he'll go next."
