Steps To Freedom (12-1) won the John Smith's Champion Standard Open NH Flat Race for Gordon Elliott to close the 2011 Grand National Festival at Aintree.
The Irish trainer, who won the National with Silver Birch in 2007, won his second race of the meeting following Russian War's win in the closing race on Thursday.
