Rock On Ruby: Won well in the finale
Noel Fehily and Paul Nicholls completed a first and last race double when striking with Rock On Ruby in the Cleanevent Standard Open NHF Race.
Fehily had the joint-favourite in close attendance behind a steady pace and slipped through up the inside on the turn for home and quickly asserted to score by 5 lengths.
There was a good battle for the places with Charlie Longsdon's Laveroque claiming second ahead of joint-favourite Kartanian with Rose Of The Moon and Cucumber Run clear of the rest in fourth and fifth.
"This was a good prize and Noel said the further he went, the better. We'll find a two-and-a-half-mile novice hurdle now," said Nicholls, who was top trainer at the three-day meeting.
