Pendra: Runs for Charlie Longsdon

Pendra: Runs for Charlie Longsdon

Nicky Henderson's Ericht heads a maximum field of 20 for the Rewards4Racing Novices' Handicap Chase at Cheltenham on Tuesday.

The eight-year-old won at Musselburgh last time and he heads the weights along with the Charlie Longsdon-trained pair of Up To Something and Grandads Horse.

Longsdon's main hope, though, is the JP McManus-owned Pendra, who has been well backed ever since the weights for the race were revealed.

McManus also has two other runners, both trained by Jonjo O'Neill - Dursey Sound and Festive Affair.

Jamie Snowden's Present View, a winner at Kempton last month, is also prominent in the betting along with Alan King's Manyriverstocross.

Previous Festival winner Attaglance takes his chance, while Philip Hobbs is doubly represented with Persian Snow and Tony Star.

Dessie Hughes' Art Of Logistics and Paul Nolan's King Vuvuzela are the sole Irish challengers, while David Pipe has one entry in Close House.

Baby Mix, Ahyaknowyerself, Buywise, Buthelezi, Ohio Gold and Gardefort complete the field.

Eliminations:

Top Of The Range, Wrong Turn, Sizing Machine, The Cockney Mackem, No Buts, The Romford Pele, Christopher Wren, The Way We Were, Harry Hunt, Bobcatbilly, Up And Go, Saroque, Authinger, Living Next Door, Renard D'Irlande, Before All, Definite Memories, Cloudy Bob, Lost Legend, Un Bon P'Tit Gars, Royal Guardsman, Flaming Charmer, Dunlough Bay, Phase Shift, Foundation Man.
