Elusive Kate and Sky Lantern: Clash again at Newmarket

The eagerly-awaited rematch between Elusive Kate and Sky Lantern is all set for Saturday in the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket.

John Gosden's multiple Group One winner Elusive Kate narrowly beat Richard Hannon's 1000 Guineas winner in the Falmouth Stakes but hung left, hampering the grey inside the final furlong.

Sky Lantern's connections appealed the decision but the result stood and they will be eager to set the record straight this weekend.

Since then the pair have endured differing fortunes with Elusive Kate winning another Prix Rothschild but running disappointingly in the Jacques le Marois, while Sky Lantern was unplaced in the Nassau Stakes.

Kevin Prendergast's La Collina was fourth in this event last year and added another Group One to her record in the Matron Stakes last time out.

She was supplemented for this weekend's event.

Sir Michael Stoute's Integral has won three of her four starts to date, her only disappointing run coming in the Nassau, while Charle Hills' Irish 1000 Guineas winner Just The Judge is another who disappointed at Goodwood and is looking for redemption.

David Wachman's Duntle was last seen running over 10 furlongs in America and returns to her best trip of a mile. Lady Cecil's Chigun completes the seven-runner field.
