Willie Mullins' staying stalwart Simenon is among a field of eight declared for the Cantor Fitzgerald Investment Trusts Henry II Stakes at Sandown on Thursday.

The eight-year-old, who was runner-up in the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot in 2013 and promoted to fourth last summer, will be having his first race since winning the Grimes Hurdle at Tipperary last July.

Hughie Morrison's Vent De Force and the John Gosden-trained Forever Now renew rivalry after finishing second and third respectively to Mizzou in the Sagaro Stakes at Ascot four weeks ago, while James Fanshawe runs his consistent performer High Jinx.

Ed Dunlop gives Trip To Paris the chance of a Group Three triumph following his victory in the Chester Cup.

"Trip To Paris will take his chance in the Henry II Stakes and this will give us an idea of where we stand for the rest of the summer. Graham Lee stays aboard with Clever Cookie not in the line-up," the Newmarket trainer told www.edunlop.com.
