O'Meara mulling G Force plans

David O' Meara is yet to make a decision as to where he will start talented sprinter G Force this season.

The Nawton handler is considering two options for the four-year-old, who enjoyed his finest moment last season when capturing the Sprint Cup at Haydock on his penultimate outing.

O'Meara said: "G Force is in good form at home and will be coming out soon. He will be out soon in either the Duke Of York Stakes or the Temple Stakes.

"I don't know which one he will go for yet, but I am looking forward to seeing him out again. Hopefully after his first run we can plan another Group One programme for him."

Stablemate Mondialiste could be in line for a drop back down to Listed company, with O'Meara weighing up running the five-year-old in the William & Son Paradise Stakes at Ascot on Wednesday.

After finishing second in the Lincoln, the ex-Freddy Head inmate runner claimed a respectable third behind French Navy in the Group Three Earl Of Sefton Stakes on his most recent run.

O'Meara said: "I think he is a very good horse, but he might want a little bit of cut in the ground. I don't think he really handled the dip at Newmarket but he stayed on well at the end.

The former jockey also revealed he is hoping to get recent stable recruit Amazing Maria out in the near future following her move from Ed Dunlop's yard.

Having shown plenty as a two-year old, including when winning the Group Three Prestige Stakes at Goodwood, the Sir Robert Ogden-owned filly failed to figure in three outings last season.

She finished last in the Oaks on her seasonal return and fared little better in both the Prix de Lieurey and Sceptre Stakes.

O'Meara said: "We have no great plans for Amazing Maria at this stage as we are only just getting to know her. I am hoping to get her started off in May. We will see what we can do with her and hopefully we can get her somewhere close to her old form."
