Dean Ivory will consider another step up in distance for Sirius Prospect after his fine effort to finish third in the Doncaster Mile on Saturday.
The seven-year-old looked a potentially top-class sprinter after winning five races during a tremendous campaign in 2011, but results have been mixed since.
Sirius Prospect did not cut much ice in three starts in Dubai earlier in the year, but made an excellent return to British turf action by finishing on the heels of Tullius and Glory Awaits on Town Moor.
Ivory said: "We were delighted with him as I was in two minds whether to run him beforehand.
"He'd obviously not long been back from Dubai and things didn't really end on a happy note for him there as he ended up getting a lot of kickback in his face.
"Robert Winston came to ride him work after he arrived home and it wasn't the best work I've ever seen him do, but Robert was happy so we decided to let him run and I'm glad we did.
"It looks as though he might get a bit further as well, so we might try him over a mile and one (furlong) or even a mile and a quarter at some stage."
