Frankie Dettori's mount Mshawish has got the all-clear to run in the Dubai Turf at Meydan.

Doubts had surrounded the third-favourite with concerns over a bruised foot, but following a nice blowout over a mile on the turf track this morning and a thorough check-over by veterinarians subsequently, connections declared themselves happy.

Trainer Todd Pletcher is not present in Dubai, as his Kentucky Derby hopefuls face major trials in America over the weekend, but Bradley Weisbord, the US Racing Advisor to owners Al Shaqab Racing, has been overseeing the horses preparation all week.

He was happy with Mshawish's work and declared that if he passed the vet, the colt would run. Weisbord subsequently tweeted: "Big Boy Mshawish is a go for the 6 Mil Dubai Turf. Great job by the entire team to get his bruised foot healed."

That is great news for Dettori, the all-time leading jockey on World Cup night with 19 wins.
