Philip Fenton's appeal in relation to the severity of his three-year disqualification by the Turf Club in Ireland will be heard on December 16.

The Cheltenham Festival-winning trainer's hearing has been set for 10am in the Turf Club at the Curragh in County Kildare.

Fenton was called before officials last Saturday after being found guilty of possessing anabolic steroids and other banned substances at a district court hearing in Carrick-on-Suir last month.

His disqualification period from training horses is scheduled to begin from midnight on Friday, November 28.
