It's been another month of success for the Sky Academy Sports Scholars with a number of medals and competition success to celebrate.

The Scholars programme itself is designed to help 12 of Britain and Ireland's most exciting young athletes fulfil their potential on the international stage by offering financial and developmental support tailored to each athlete's specific requirements covering areas such as training, competition, nutrition and the media.

Have a look at what they've been up to below and click the title for the full story...

Danish delight for O'Connor

The European Short Course Championships saw swimmer Siobhan-Marie O'Connor win her first senior international medal last year and she was at it again this time around. The Bath athlete returned from Denmark with two medals - silver in the 200m individual medley and bronze in the 100m equivalent, securing a British record time in the process.

Oldham helps GB to bronze

20-year-old gymnast Sam Oldham was in top form to help Great Britain to the team bronze medal at Stuttgart's World Cup event. Oldham was GB's top performer on the floor and came third in the high bars during the final.

Set for Sochi

Having booked her place in Sochi with a bronze medal at the World Cup event in Kolomna last month, Elise Christie was officially announced as one of five members of the Great Britain Short Track Speed Skating team for the Winter Olympics in February.

Winning return for Bleasdale

Holly Bleasdale ended a frustrating second half of the year on a high with victory in the INSA Perch'formance in Lyon. Injury meant this was the pole vaulter's first competitive outing since June and she starting making up for lost time as she cleared 4.61m - 20cm more than her nearest rival.

Judd wins writers award

It has been a fantastic 2013 for Jessica Judd and the middle-distance runner was rewarded with the Lillian Board Memorial Award at the BAWA awards. The award goes to the outstanding young female athlete and Judd's performances throughout the year meant it was thoroughly deserved.

Scholars Track Day

After a tough year's training and competing, the Sports Scholars were treated to a day at Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey where they were able to glean valuable advice from the likes of Darren Campbell and Sky Sports presenter Alec Wilkinson as well as, of course, having time to speed round the track.

Glasgow Goal

There are no World or European Championships for amateur boxers to look forward to in 2014 meaning that for Jack Bateson and co., the Commonwealth Games are the number one event on the calendar. The GB flyweight tells us what he needs to do to achieve success in Glasgow.

Scholar in profile - Siobhan-Marie O'Connor

It was a fantastic end to the year for the 18-year-old medley swimmer. Two medals and a British record at the European Short Course Championships in Denmark were just the latest in a long list of achievements for O'Connor.
