Bryan: will fight the eerie Harper on Smackdown

Luke Harper fought one former WWE Champion on Monday Night Raw - and he will lock horns with another on Friday Night Smackdown.

The Wyatt Family member came up just short against CM Punk on the red brand, caught in a roll-up pin by the Second City Saint, so will be aiming to get back on the victory trail when he combats Daniel Bryan.

Bryan - still seething from being attacked by the Wyatts last month - rushed to the ring with a steel chair on Monday to help Punk repel a post-match attack from Harper, Erick Rowan and the backwoods brawlers' pontiff, Bray Wyatt.

So can he capture further retribution on Friday evening, or will Harper and his cronies exhibit their force once more - and will Punk, who is scheduled to kick-off Smackdown, play a role in the contest?

World Heavyweight Champion John Cena will also be in the house so may learn who the next challenger for his strap will be, having poached the gold from Alberto Del Rio at Hell in a Cell at the start of November.

Damien Sandow tried to pinch Cena's belt by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract the night after Hell in a Cell, but failed after being hit with the Cenation Leader's Attitude Adjustment.

And after losing to Cena, Goldust and Cody Rhodes whilst teaming with Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger over recent weeks, how will the Duke of Decency look to reassert himself?

Watch WWE Smackdown, 11pm, Friday, Sky Sports 3 or catch one of the repeat showings.
