Tyson Kidd, Tyler Breeze and Sami Zayn handed big opportunity

New NXT General Manager William Regal wasted little time making his mark by announcing a huge Fatal Four-Way match at Takeover.

Regal, who has succeeded JBL in NXT’s top job, listened to Tyler Breeze, Sami Zayn and Tyson Kidd stake their claims for a huge title match with Adrian Neville on September 11.

But after NXT Champion Neville challenged Breeze, Zayn and Kidd to a multi-man melee, Regal liked the idea so much that he made it official for next month’s showdown.

Feel

Neville and Zayn went from rivals to partners later in Thursday’s show to take on Breeze and Kidd in a tag-team tussle, a clash they came up short in after Neville was pinned by Canadian star Kidd.

However, the Breeze-Kidd tandem did not run that smoothly, with the former shoving the latter into a Blue Thunder Bomb from Zayn before settling the match-up.

Zayn had the last laugh, though, booting the victorious Kidd in the head with a Helluva Kick and then getting a feel of Neville’s NXT belt.

Will that be the scene at Takeover?

Vowed

Bayley will challenge NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte at September’s big event and, after defeating Sasha Banks on Thursday evening, attempted to shake her rival’s hand.

But Charlotte, the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, refused to accept the sporting gesture and instead vowed to destroy the Florida-born competitor in their title bout.

The Ascension, meanwhile, warmed up for their WWE NXT Tag Team Championship defence at Takeover – against either Sin Cara and Kalisto or The Vaudevillains – by obliterating a local twosome.

Plus, Bull Dempsey manhandled Angelo Dawkins en route to recording a comprehensive victory – but will he enjoy similar success next week against Mojo Rawley?
