Rob Van Dam has won many matches with daredevil moves – but received a dose of his own medicine on Thursday night’s NXT.

The former ECW veteran displayed his full range of kicks and flips whilst battling NXT Champion Adrian Neville in a non-title encounter and almost clobbered the Brit with the Five-Star Frog Splash.

But Neville – who won his strap from Bo Dallas at NXT arRIVAL – evaded Van Dam’s trademark manoeuvre and then hit Sunday’s Money in the Bank competitor with the eye-catching Red Arrow.

That was enough to down The Whole Dam Show but there was no animosity once Neville had secured the victory, with the grapplers shaking hands in a mutual mark of respect.

Respect, however, was not shown to Colin Cassady by The Legionnaires, with Sylvester Lefort and Marcus Louis attacking the near 7ft Superstar after he had dispatched Sawyer Fulton.

But Cassady soon found an ally in the returning Enzo Amore, who rushed from the locker room to back up the big man and send Lefort and Louis into retreat.

There was joy for another tag team, though, with The Vaudevillains, Aiden English and Simon Gotch, proving they could win as well as perform by dominating a pair of local competitors in Orlando.
