Jey Uso leaps onto the stricken Corey Graves

It was a case of six of the best on Thursday's episode of NXT.

WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos banded with Sami Zayn to tackle NXT Tag Team Champions The Ascension as well as Corey Graves in a pulsating main event that the fan favourites ultimately won.

The two trios gave their opponents all they had, with the Ascension's Viktor smashing the Usos' heads together and his comrade, Konnor, displaying his power at regular intervals.

But after Zayn and Jimmy flattened The Ascension with dives over the top rope, Jey was able to pick up the pieces and hit Graves, aka 'The Saviour of Misbehaviour' with a top-rope splash for the win.

Elsewhere, Paige was told by JBL that she would not be allowed to hold both the NXT Women's Championship and the WWE Divas Title at the same time - and was promptly stripped of her NXT garland and informed a tournament would decide who wears it next.

Dent

The Norwich-born grappler was not done for the night, though, and teamed with Emma to take on Sasha Banks and Charlotte - but the 21-year-old suffered another dent when she was pinned.

Paige - who will defend her Divas Championship against Tamina Snuka at Extreme Rules - attempted to administer her Scorpion Lock on Banks, but was grounded by Charlotte's attack on her leg and unable to kick out before the referee counted three.

Alexander Rusev warmed up for his two-on-one handicap encounter with Xavier Woods and R-Truth at the next pay-per-view by making light work of Travis Tyler, forcing his foe to tap out to the Accolade.

Plus, Tyson Kidd belied his diminutive stature to defeat the gargantuan Welshman Mason Ryan, and Tyler Breeze took time out from posturing in front of mirrors and posing for selfies to conquer Angelo Dawkins.
