Punk: will fight for the WWE Title at WrestleMania - if he beats Cena on Raw

The Rock and John Cena seemed certain to collide at WrestleMania for the second year running - but CM Punk has thrown a spanner in the works.

The Second City Saint lost his WWE Championship match to The Rock at Elimination Chamber, paving the way for The Great One and Royal Rumble winner Cena to renew their rivalry on the grandest stage of them all.

However, after Punk bragged on Monday Night Raw that he had never been beaten by Cena, the Chain Gang Soldier challenged his long-time adversary to a clash on next week's show - with the winner battling The Rock for the WWE Title at 'Mania.

Punk swiftly accepted the 12-time world champion's proposal, before leaving Cena sprawling on the entrance ramp at the end of the show, and telling The Rock that he was intent on plucking the new WWE Title that the Brahma Bull had just unveiled.

Mr Money in the Bank, Dolph Ziggler, meanwhile, attempted to win the World Heavyweight Championship on Monday evening in Lafayette, Louisiana, before being foiled by Ricardo Rodriguez.

The Show Off had been defeated by reigning titlist Alberto Del Rio in a singles-clash but after his associate Big E Langston felled the Mexican Aristocrat, Ziggler tried to cash-in his championship contract - but saw his hopes thwarted when Del Rio's ring announcer Rodriguez stole his briefcase.

Victory

Jack Swagger will face the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania after winning Sunday's star-studded Elimination Chamber contest, and picked up another victory on Raw by forcing WWE Tag Team titlist Daniel Bryan to tap out to the Patriot Act.

Randy Orton and Mark Henry were two of the men Swagger conquered in the Chamber, but both returned to winning ways in the Cajundome; the former vanquished Kane after the Big Red Monster was distracted by tag companion Bryan, and the latter obliterated Sin Cara.

Elsewhere, Vince McMahon challenged Paul Heyman to a fight, Brad Maddox was installed as assistant to Raw's managing supervisor Vickie Guerrero, and The Shield impressed on their Monday night in-ring debut, knocking off the team of Ryback, Sheamus and Chris Jericho.

Plus, The Miz beat United States Champion Antonio Cesaro in a no-disqualification, non-title match, and the dance-loving trio of Brodus Clay, Tensai and Naomi bested Primo, Epico and Rosa Mendes.

And R-Truth, out with an injury since December's TLC pay-per-view, made an eye-catching return, helping former tag-team partner Kofi Kingston fend off an attack from "Lord of Literacy" Damien Sandow.
