WWE Champion CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus collided inside New Jersey's Izod Center on Monday evening in the largest lumberjack bout in Raw history - but they also felt the force of their Hell in a Cell opponents.
Big Show choke-slammed Sheamus whilst the referee's back was turned to allow Punk to accrue the win, but the Second City Saint was not celebrating his victory for long as he was quickly on the end of an attack by Ryback.
Punk finally managed to escape "Big Hungry's" clutches but will have nowhere to run when he is locked inside Hell in a Cell with Ryback on Sunday night, while Sheamus now knows how destructive Big Show can be, too. Will both the WWE and World Heavyweight titles switch hands this weekend?
AJ Lee, meanwhile, stood down from her post as Raw General Manager after allegedly fraternising with a WWE Superstar, later revealed to be John Cena, which led Vince McMahon to name Vickie Guerrero as the Managing Supervisor of Raw.
WWE Tag Champions Daniel Bryan and Kane had action-packed nights, learning who they would defend their straps against at Hell in a Cell before suffering defeats in one-on-one competition.
Team Rhodes Scholars booked their date with Team Hell No after conquering the tandem of Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara in the final of the Tag Team tournament, which was delayed a week after Mysterio's untimely bout of flu.
But Bryan and Kane were unable to garner any momentum; the former was pinned by Mr Money in the Bank Dolph Ziggler, while the latter was on the receiving end of Big Show's knockout punch following a distraction from Team Rhodes Scholars.
Elsewhere, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston delivered a beat-down to Michael McGillicutty, while the man he will face at Hell in a Cell, former titlist The Miz, succumbed to the monstrous Ryback.
Plus, United States belt holder Antonio Cesaro suffered a surprising loss to the effervescent South African Justin Gabriel and Alberto Del Rio continued his winning run by beating Zack Ryder.
