Cardiff cruised through to the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup with a 10-4 aggregate win over Fife Flyers.
Having recorded a 7-2 win in the first leg at home in the Welsh capital, the Devils knew they already had one foot in the next round as they headed to Scotland.
However they were given an initial scare when their hosts scored inside the first minute, Bobby Chaumont firing Fife in front after a mere 28 seconds.
The score remained the same until the end of the first period but Cardiff turned the match around with two goals in the space of 45 seconds.
Mac Faulkner netted the first to level proceedings, quickly followed by an effort from Tomas Kurka.
A powerplay goal from Chaumont with his second of the game at 29.50 made it 2-2 on the night, but the Flyers then failed to make the most of two powerplay opportunities at the start of the third period.
They pulled goaltender Blair Daly twice late on in an effort just to get the win, yet on the second occasion it was the Devils who found the target through Chris Jones at 57.39.
