Patrick Sharp: Scored hat-trick in Blackhawks' victory over Devils

Patrick Sharp scored a hat-trick to lead the Chicago Blackhawks to a 5-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils.

Sharp scored in the second period, then again as part of a three goal outburst - Brandon Saad and Marian Hossa also tallied - to put the Hawks 4-1 up at the start of the third after Andy Greene had equalised.

Marek Zidlicky then scored twice to pull the Devils back within one, but Sharp's 25th goal of the season with 1:28 left to play killed the game off.

Elsewhere in the NHL, Ben Lovejoy scored twice in the Anaheim Ducks' 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers, the Pittsburgh Penguins were 5-2 winners over the New York Rangers and Ben Bishop blanked the Calgary Flames on 19 saves to help the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 2-0 victory.
