Goaltender Craig Kowalski registered a 24-shot shut-out as Nottingham Panthers crushed Edinburgh Capitals on their own ice, winning 9-0 in the Elite League.

David Clarke, Marc Levers, Robert Lachowicz, Matt Francis (2), Brock Wilson, Brandon Benedict, Matthew Myers and David-Alexandre Beauregard were on target as the visitors subjected the Scots to an 11th successive defeat.

Braehead Clan completed a weekend double over Coventry Blaze with a 6-4 success, with a bad night for the home side capped with a late game misconduct for coach Paul Thompson.

Goals from Owen Fussey, Robert Farmer, Jonathan Weaver and Greg Owen had Blaze 4-3 ahead early in the final period but Jade Galbraith's hat-trick proved decisive.

Lee Mitchell, Jordan Krestanovich and Matt Haywood got the visitors' other goals.

In Sunday's other game, Cardiff Devils won their fourth successive match - 5-3 at Hull Stingrays.

Stuart Macrae (2), Jeff Pierce, Gerad Adams and Ben Davies scored for the visitors, Sylvain Cloutier and Jason Silverthorn (2) replying.
