Mikael Samuelsson: Scored twice
Florida Panthers claimed top spot in the Southeast Division as they beat the Washington Capitals 4-2.
Mikael Samuelsson scored twice as Stephen Weiss and Shawn Mattias also scored against their rivals, for whom Brooks Laich and John Carlson netted.
Goaltender James Reimer was impenetrable as the Toronto Maple Leafs edged the Pittsburgh Penguins 1-0.
Reimer stopped 25 before Clarke MacArthur came up with the winner.
Ryan Callahan's shoot-out winner earned the New York Rangers a 1-0 win over the hosting Buffalo Sabres.
The Dallas Stars came away with a 6-2 win over the Ducks in Anaheim while the Los Angeles Kings beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-2.
