Sami Zayn was ambushed by two angry high-flyers on NXT – until Adrian Neville came to his aid.

The Canadian defeated Justin Gabriel in the evening’s high-octane main event, securing the victory with the Koji Clutch after stopping the Cape Town Werewolf from hitting the 450 Splash.

Zayn was then subjected to a post-match beat down from Gabriel and Calgary-born Tyson Kidd, who formerly competed on WWE’s main roster as tag team International Airstrike.

But Neville – who has twice defeated Kidd to retain the NXT Championship – evened the scores, running from the locker room to send Zayn’s attackers dashing in the opposite direction.

Neville and Zayn have seemingly formed a bond, then, but The BFFs’ union is over – despite them besting Bayley and Becky Lynch in a Divas tussle at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.

Charlotte and Sasha Banks conquered their opponents when the NXT Women’s Champion clobbered Bayley with – and then promptly informed Banks that they would no longer be teaming together.

Elsewhere, the gargantuan Colin Cassady, who had Enzo Amore back in his corner, crushed Sylvester Lefort with the East River Crossing and the Empire Elbow.

Plus, CJ Parker decimated Steve Cutler and then told Xavier Woods that he was going to punish him for failing to take advantages of the opportunities that had been awarded to him on Raw and Smackdown.
