Imogen Bankier and Chris Adcock: disappointing London Games

World Championship silver medallists Imogen Bankier and Chris Adcock have ended their partnership.

Bankier has stated her intention to leave the Badminton England-run Great Britain Programme at Milton Keynes and return to the Badminton Scotland set-up in her native Glasgow.

That will bring the 24-year-old's successful - and initially controversial - partnership with Adcock to an end.

The Anglo-Scottish duo shocked four seeded pairs during a brilliant run to the final of last year's World Championships at Wembley.

They went on to represent Britain in the London 2012 Olympic tournament at the same venue but were unable to repeat their previous success, crashing out at the group stage.

Their arrangement ends with them ranked 19th in the world - they had been as high as 10th - and after a run to the semi-finals of the French Open last week.
