Reigning champions Team Bath are through to the ZEO Netball Superleague semi-finals after claiming a 59-49 home win over Yorkshire Jets.

Bath took control of the match in the second quarter when they extended their advantage from 18-16 to 30-22.

They went further ahead in the third quarter as they made it 47-34 before easing off a little in the final quarter as the Jets reduced the deficit.

The win secured Bath a semi-final berth with one match still to play in the league phase.

Bath centre Serena Guthrie was named ZEO player of the match and was delighted to be in the last four.

Turnovers

"The team did congratulate me for my turnovers tonight, but I do think it's down to a team effort," she told Sky Sports.

"We've been working hard on turnover as a team and I think I was the lucky one to have the opportunity to go out there and get it.

"Now we've got over this hump we are now looking to build towards the semi-final. So I'm glad to get this game out of the way."

Bath head coach Jess Thirlby said: "I guess it was another three good quarters in terms of building a lead against a very determined Jets side.

"It was a disappointing fourth quarter but it would be boring if we didn't have something left to work on at this stage of the season."
