Charles Smith scored 23 points as Newcastle Eagles stretched their lead at the top of the BBL table with a 103-93 win over Glasgow Rocks.
All five Rocks starters scored in double figures in Scotland, Great Britain international Kieron Achara leading the way for the hosts with 22 points.
However Smith came off the bench to star for the Eagles, his efforts helping league leaders Newcastle come out on top.
However Worcester Wolves, who have two games in hand on Newcastle, and they stayed within four points by pulling off a 90-81 win over Manchester Giants.
In Friday's other game, Bristol Flyers enjoyed a 73-58 triumph over rock-bottom Leeds.
