Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders responded to their first loss of the season by securing an 82-71 victory over Manchester Giants on Friday night.

Rob Paternostro's side, who were surprisingly turned over by Surrey last time out, were impressive at Wright Robinson College, with Zaire Taylor top-scoring with 23 points.

The Giants started strongly and the two teams were tied at 10-10 early on, but a 22-6 run from the Riders opened up a gap which the hosts could never quite recover from.

Manchester closed to within three points heading into the final minute but Leicester held their nerve from the free throw line to round out the win.

David Aliu was the home side's best performer with 19 points.
