Carmelo Anthony: Helped boost the New York Knicks
Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points as the New York Knicks ended their three-match NBA losing run against the Detroit Pistons.
The Knicks were back on form in a 113-83 dismissal of the flailing Pistons as Anthony - back from injury - dominated the points, ably supported by Landry Fields' 18 points.
The loss was Detroit's sixth on the bounce.
The Boston Celtics edged the Cavaliers 93-90 in Cleveland.
Paul Pierce sank 20 points for the improving Celtics following their recent struggles - though they had to cling to the win as the Cavs launched a late fightback.
The Atlanta Hawks were 100-77 winners against the Toronto Raptors to make it six wins in a row. Joe Johnson and Tracy McGrady did the damage there.
Paul George scored 24 points to help the Indiana Pacers beat the New Jersey Nets 106-99.
Kobe Bryant's 24-point haul inspired the Los Angeles Lakers to a 106-73 stroll at home to the Charlotte Bobcats while the Golden State Warriors edged the Sacramento Kings 93-90 and the Memphis Grizzlies beat the visiting Denver Nuggets 100-77.
