NBA Review: Marc Gasol leads Memphis Grizzlies to Charlotte Hornets win

The Memphis Grizzlies continued their perfect start to the NBA season with a 71-69 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night.

Marc Gasol poured in 22 points to lead the Grizzlies while Zach Randolph had 12 points and 12 rebounds as the team took their record on the fledgling season to 3-0.

James Harden had 26 points and eight rebounds as the Houston Rockets also made it three wins out of three with a 104-90 win over the Boston Celtics.

A 37-point first quarter did the damage as the Rockets opened up a 15-point lead that the Celtics could not recover from.

Klay Thompson scored 41 points for the Golden State Warriors to maintain their perfect start while condemning the Los Angeles Lakers to a fourth loss in four in a 127-104 blow out.

The Toronto Raptors also have a perfect record on the campaign so far and continued that with a 108-95 win over the Orlando Magic while the Miami Heat took their record to 2-0 with 114-96 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Two free-throws from Jimmy Butler with just 0.2 seconds remaining gave the Chicago Bulls a remarkable 106-105 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Dallas Mevericks were 109-104 winners over the New Orleans Pelicans while the Washington Wizards beat the Milwaukee Bucks 108-97.

The Atlanta Hawks claimed a 102-92 win over the Indiana Pacers and the Brooklyn Nets were 102-90 victors over the Detroit Pistons.

In the day's other games, the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Denver Nuggets 102-91 and the Utah Jazz were 118-91 winners over the Phoenix Suns.
