eScala: appearing in new Sky Sports ads
Sky Sports have teamed up with glamorous electric string quartet eScala for their 2008/2009 football season promotional campaign.

From July 19, eScala will be appearing in adverts performing their signature track 'Palladio' - which made them a household name in the final of Britain's Got Talent. The promo will be on high rotation as we build up to and beyond the football season on Sky Sports.
The promo, directed by John Grint and Ian Duke and produced by Nick Canham - all from Sky's in-house promotions team - was filmed at London's Royal Horticultural Halls and will also promote the impending year of live events on Sky Sports aside from football including the Ryder Cup, British Lions Tour of South Africa, the Ashes Series and the Rugby League World Cup.
The annual promotional campaign has become a major feature of the build-up to the football season. In 2005, Oasis track 'The Meaning of Soul' was the soundtrack to the new season. In 2003 'Are You Ready' by Elton John became the first No1 record associated with Sky Sports. Previously, Simple Minds' 'Alive & Kicking' kicked off proceedings in 1992 and in 1995 'One Vision' by Queen heralded the new season. Rachel Stevens' version of 'More, More, More' reached No 4 in the charts after exposure during the pre-season campaign in 2004.
eScala were watched by 14million people as they soared through to the finals of hit TV show Britain's Got Talent in June this year with stunning performances of 'Live and Let Die' and 'Palladio'.
The female quartet were signed on a multi-million pound international recording deal by judge Simon Cowell's label SyCo Music. The all-female group, Izzy Johnston, Victoria Lyon, Chantal Leverton and Natasya Hodges are set to release their debut album this year.
