Neil Black: UKA performance director 'pleased and excited' by applicants for head coach role
UK Athletics will name their new head coach at press conference on Monday morning.
The governing body have called a press conference for 11am where performance director Neil Black will announce Charles Van Commenee's successor.
Black revealed last week that he had been "really pleased and excited" with the applicants they had had for the role.
An external appointment seems likely, given the favourite, Canadian Kevin Tyler, has opted to return to his home country with his family, ruling him out of contention for the job.
Black had previously described Tyler, UKA's strategic head of coaching and development, as a "strong contender" to succeed Van Commenee.
Van Commenee decided to step down after the Great Britain team failed to meet his own target of eight medals at the London Games.
