Adlington to miss relay heats
Rebecca Adlington will not compete in this morning's women's 4x200m Freestyle Relay heats.
The double Olympic champion, who won a bronze in the 400m Freestyle earlier this week, also skipped the heats in Beijing four years ago.
On that occasion the gamble backfired with the GB team failing to reach the final.
The quartet hoping to make this evening's final will be Caitlin McClatchey, Becky Turner, Ellie Faulkner and Jo Jackson.
Bradley Wiggins won a sensational gold in the cycling time trial to become the most decorated British Olympian of all-time.
British cycling chief Dave Brailsford has called for Bradley Wiggins to be knighted.
Bantamweight Luke Campbell and super-heavyweight Anthony Joshua both squeezed through to the last eight.
