Five-time Olympic champion rower Sir Steve Redgrave told Sky Sports News HD he would give back all his medals for the chance to compete at a home Games.
Redgrave retired after claiming his fifth straight gold at Sydney in 2000 and is envious of the Team GB athletes who will be participating in London later this year.
"I would willingly give them (medals) all back just to be able to compete at a home Games," he said.

Sir Steve Redgrave Quotes of the week
Redgrave played down concerns over the pressure faced by home athletes.
"I think there is a little bit of extra pressure but not a great deal," he added.
"It is more (about) the pressure those athletes put on themselves anyway.
"If you are holding your own and on your game then pressure enhances performance.
"It is when you are below-par and not performing as well as the media and people on the outside expect, you know you are not quite on track and not going well (and) a home Games magnifies that.
"We have a couple of dozen people who we think are going to win Olympic gold medals and that is a lot of pressure to cope with, to go out there and achieve not just your own dreams but having people relying on you to achieve that."
Redgrave believes his position as the most decorated British Olympian will come under threat from sailor Ben Ainslie in the future.
Ainslie has the chance for the fourth consecutive gold medal in London to go with the silver he won on debut in Atlanta in 1996.
"He has four medals at the moment, the first one being a silver so he has to try and brighten that one up a little bit!" Redgrave said of Ainslie.
"He could be getting his fourth (gold) this time and there is no reason why he can't carry on.
"He is saying he is not going to carry on Olympic sailing after this but sailing is one of those sports where you can do different activities.
"He certainly can get five golds. And if he gets this five golds, he has the silver as well so he leaps ahead of me from that point of view."
