It was a long time coming but the new £757m Wembley Stadium, with its distinctive 130m high arch - four times the size of the old Wembley towers - was well worth the wait.

During the 2012 Games Wembley will host the finals of the men's and women's football competitions.
It will be one of six Olympic football venues, the others being the Millennium Stadium, Hampden Park, Old Trafford, St James' Park and Coventry's Ricoh Arena.
