Adlington to miss relay heats

Rebecca Adlington will not compete in this morning's women's 4x200m Freestyle Relay heats.

The double Olympic champion, who won a bronze in the 400m Freestyle earlier this week, also skipped the heats in Beijing four years ago.

On that occasion the gamble backfired with the GB team failing to reach the final.

The quartet hoping to make this evening's final will be Caitlin McClatchey, Becky Turner, Ellie Faulkner and Jo Jackson.
