SATURDAY, JULY 28 - MEN'S ROAD RACE
Mark Cavendish will go for Britain's first gold of the Olympics on the opening day of competition on a gruelling nine-lap, 250-kilometre route through the Surrey hills and finishing on The Mall.
SUNDAY, JULY 29 - WOMEN'S ROAD RACE
While Cavendish is the undisputed men's leader, Britain's women have options in Nicole Cooke, the defending champion, and Lizzie Armitstead.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 1 - MEN'S TIME-TRIAL
Bradley Wiggins will bid for glory against the clock, with Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland and Germany's Tony Martin his major rivals.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 2 - WOMEN'S TEAM SPRINT
There are two finals on the opening day of the track programme, with Jess Varnish and Victoria Pendleton seeking gold in the two-woman, two-lap team sprint.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 3 - MEN'S TEAM PURSUIT
The blue riband event on the track: the four-man, 4km team pursuit. Britain will bid to successfully defend their title and an astonishingly fast world record is anticipated.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 4 - WOMEN'S TEAM PURSUIT
Anything the men can do... it is the turn of three women over 3km, with Britain again expected to be in the gold medal race after winning four of the five titles since the event joined the World Championships programme.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 5 - MEN'S OMNIUM
Ed Clancy will be aiming for individual glory on the final day of the six-discipline men's omnium.
MONDAY, AUGUST 6 - MEN'S SPRINT
The gladiatorial men's sprint concludes with France's Gregory Bauge the man to beat. Sir Chris Hoy or Jason Kenny will be the British rider.
TUESDAY, AUGUST 7 - WOMEN'S SPRINT
The final day of the track programme is headlined by Hoy and Pendleton. Hoy will ride in his favoured keirin event and Pendleton will bid to successfully defend her sprint title before retiring.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 8 - WOMEN'S BMX
Shanaze Reade will begin her bid for Olympic glory with the seeding runs in the BMX competition.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 9 - MEN'S BMX
Reade and the women have a rest, with the quarter-finals of the men's BMX competition taking place.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 10 - WOMEN'S BMX
Reade's day of destiny. The multiple world champion will be seeking Olympic glory after crashing in the final in 2008.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 11 - WOMEN'S MOUNTAIN BIKE
To Hadleigh Farm in Essex for the women's cross-country mountain bike event.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 12 - MEN'S MOUNTAIN BIKE
