London 2012 chairman Lord Sebastian Coe told Sky Sports he is determined this summer's Games will be ready on time, although he knows there is still much work to be done.

Coe, speaking at the unveiling of the London 2012 slogan, "Inspire a Generation" took the time to thank all those involved in helping to deliver the prestigious event.

The Games are now just three months away and Coe, who broke numerous records during his competing days, does not want to be remembered as the man who could not deliver on time.

"I broke something like 12 world records in my time. I don't intend to break and 13th and be the first Games not to be ready on time."
Lord Coe Quotes of the week

Coe is more than happy with the construction programmes, insisting the organising committee have worked wonders in raising 'record' sums of money during a down economy.

Look forward

When asked what the 100-day landmark means, he told Sky Sports News: "It's a lot. It means we still have a lot to do. It's an opportunity to celebrate and look forward to the fact the world is coming to London in 100 days' time.

"From a personal perspective I wanted to honour and thank the millions of people in the United Kingdom who are helping deliver this. We aren't doing this alone.

"I broke something like 12 world records in my time. I don't intend to break and 13th and be the first Games not to be ready on time. We've got to do the best work of our lives and we're going to need every minute of every day to do that.

"The construction programme has gone well. If you look at the organising committee, the fact that we've raised record sums of money in one of the worst economies that anyone can remember during the delivery of a games.

"All this has meant we're in very good shape now, but there is still a lot of work to do."
