The action may be over on the track but the men's marathon will conclude the athletics programme on the final day of the Olympics.
The race will get under way on The Mall at 10am with African athletes set to dominate the event, headed by Kenyan Wilson Kipsang.
David Webb, Scott Overall and Lee Merrien all go for Great Britain.
Team GB's remaining gold medal hopes will be at the ExCel Arena though with boxers Fred Evans and Anthony Joshua taking part in their respective finals.
Evans is due to hear the first bell around 2.15pm with super-heavyweight Joshua entering the ring an hour later.
Britain have won four medals in women's modern pentathlon in the last three Olympics and world champion Mhairi Spence and Samantha Murray will hope to continue that sequence.
The final event, the combined run and shoot, begins at 6pm and the medals could be the final ones presented before the closing ceremony brings the curtain down on the London Games.
