Naomi Folkard: Euro silver provides a boost ahead of London 2012

Naomi Folkard won the silver medal at the European Archery Championships as she continues her preparations for the Olympics.

The Team GB archer showed some outstanding form in Amsterdam, winning her first four matches before losing out in the gold-medal contest to Ksenia Perova.

The Russian has now beaten the 28-year-old Brit from Leamington Spa six times in a row, and Folkard says she is becoming a bit of a nemesis.

"She has been a bit of a curse, but it comes to those who wait, and I'm sure my time will come," she said.

"Winning a medal of any colour at the Europeans is a great boost to the confidence, it's great for the Olympic preparations, and I've been really pleased with the way things have gone this week."
