Kev calls it

Kevin Cadle gives his big-game thoughts as he previews Super Bowl XLVII from New Orleans.

Sky Sports' Kevin Cadle expects a defensive struggle in the Superdome and an emotional ending for a certain legendary linebacker.

Super Bowl XLVII, Baltimore Ravens v San Francisco 49ers, Sunday 10.30pm, Sky Sports 1HD

We've got the two quarterbacks here who have starred for their team, and I like the way both of them have played in the play-offs. It's like two giants colliding. Joe Flacco has gone to another level as far as his career is concerned, and Colin Keapernick is a work in progress and just in his tenth start as well, but he's been fantastic in his first nine. Flacco been here before and knows how to win on the road, it'll be just another road game for them and he's won more road games than anyone else in the history of NFL in the play-offs. Look at his play so far and it's been spectacular. You look at Kaerpernick - he can beat you with his arm and beat you with his legs, both men have got great skills they can bring to the contest. Flacco has changed since he got a new offensive coordinator - sometimes as an athlete you just need another voice and that was just time for another voice for Flacco, and Caldwell has come in and helped him, I think Cam Cameron had taken him as far as he could. The offence hasn't changed but the different voice may have just made him feel more comfortable to say what he wants to say and do what he wants to do. The same with the 49ers, when Kaepernick came in during the season, three weeks into the move everyone was still saying 'how you going to do Alex Smith like this?', but now nobody's questioning that move, maybe they should have done it sooner! This will be a defensive struggle, there are no ifs or buts about it. This will be a big battle of wits and see just how physical these 49ers are - people say the Ravens haven't faced anyone as physical as the 49ers this season but I'm not sure I'm buying that.

Tough

It's also about being tough mentally as well as physically, and you're not telling me Ray Lewis' team aren't mentally tough as well as physically tough. For me it would be great to see Ray have a winning end like Elway, Michael Strahan and the Bus. To see Lewis accomplish that and end his career that way, so I'd like to see the Baltimore Ravens win and I think they're playing inspired football and can get it done. Two things could decide this game, the deep ball of the Ravens against that 49ers defence which is susceptible to it and also the special teams. The 49ers special teams defence is one of the worst in the NFL and with Jacoby Jones, who'd be the Pro Bowl return man, I think they can exploit that. Kev's Call: I'm going for a tight 24-21 victory for the Ravens, they've played inspired football throughout the play-offs and they're tough enough to deal with the Niners.
