Where are you watching Super Bowl 50 on Sunday night? Whether it's an all-nighter with your mates or an early morning alarm, we've provided essential tips for making the most of the American extravaganza...
- Watch Any Given Sunday beforehand to get you suitably pumped up for the game and then recite the Al Pacino speech while "looking at the guy next to you, looking into his eyes and finding someone who is willing to fight for those inches".
- Wear your favourite NFL jersey as you nail your colours to the mast. Onesies are not allowed! Although some casual Cam Newton-like velvet slippers might be.
- Vital to book the Monday off work. Nobody wants to see the remnants of last night’s tangy cheese Doritos still on your chin.
- On that note – make sure your cupboards are fully stocked. Midnight snacks by name, but also 1am, 2am, 2.10am, 2.20am, 2.25am snacks by nature.
- Ample supply of caffeine is also needed – to keep you awake – and beer to help negate its power. The beer must be Budweiser or Coors to make you feel suitably American.
- And despite being born in Dulwich, Loughborough, Bognor Regis or somewhere else particularly English, you MUST stand-up with one hand on your chest for the national anthem as if you were born and raised under that same ‘star-spangled banner’.
- Pretend like you know what all the circles and squiggles on the screen during the pundit analysis actually means so you can seem clever in front of your mates.
- Download lyrics for Coldplay's classics so you can sing along during the half-time show. No? Just me then?
Watch live coverage of Super Bowl 50 between Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos on Sunday at 10pm, live on Sky Sports 1 HD.
