Take a trip down memory lane with as we select the latest of our five favourite Super Bowls from years gone by.
The end-of-season finale in Florida was one of the craziest NFL games, let alone Super Bowls, you’ll ever see.
The Pittsburgh Steelers, helped by a 100-yard interception touchdown return by James Harrison, held a 20-7 lead over the Arizona Cardinals going in to the final quarter.
At that stage, The Steelers had pretty much shut down The Cardinals’ main threat, receiver Larry Fitzgerald, seemingly cruising towards a record sixth Super Bowl.
Then, midway through the fourth quarter, Fitzgerald first bagged a one-yard touchdown and then exploded with a 64-yard score, with the Steelers giving up a safety in between, to give The Cardinals the lead.
Pittsburgh’s huge travelling support in Tampa couldn’t believe it but, with 2.37 minutes left, the Steelers drove down the field and Ben Roethlisberger hit Santonio Holmes for the winning touchdown. An unbelievable game.
