Enda Bolger is waiting on easier ground for Gilgamboa

Enda Bolger is waiting on easier ground before he unleashes his exciting novice chase prospect Gilgamboa.

The six-year-old won the valuable Boylesports.com Hurdle at Leopardstown on just his fourth start over timber.

He was then steppped up in class for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival when a bad blunder two out cost him any chance of a place.

``I'm just waiting for some nice ground before I run him,'' said Bolger.

``It will probably be mid to late November by the time we get him out I'd imagine. He's working very nicely and has schooled well, but he needs a bit of a dig in the ground.

``There's still firm in the going descriptions of a few tracks this week and he won't be going anywhere near ground like that.

``I'm really looking forward to seeing him over fences. We've always viewed him as a chaser so it was a bonus he was good over hurdles.

``Mind you, there'll be some hot beginners' chases in Ireland this season when you look at the strength Mr (Willie) Mullins has. There'll be a bit of ducking and diving I think.''
