A review of the pick of Wednesday's evening meeting at Kelso, where Jedd O'Keeffe and Brian Harding won the feature.

Brian Harding was at his brilliant best on Kelso's twilight fixture on Wednesday as Santanic Beat gained a gusty win in the feature race.

Briefly joined two out by Gold Chain in the Lamont Racing Congratulates Jason Hart Handicap Hurdle, Jedd O'Keeffe's top-weight battled on bravely under his veteran pilot for a neck success.

Earlier on James Cowley recorded his first strike at the Borders venue as Shantou Tiger produced a bold-jumping
display from the front in the World Horse Welfare Novices' Hurdle.

Cowley, who is based with winning trainer Donald McCain, said: "He disappointed at Cartmel last time in quite a hot
handicap.

"He is very game and hard to pass and really took out at his hurdles when I asked. This is my second second with Mr McCain and this is becoming my favourite horse.
