The Dubai Cornwallis Stakes on Future Champions Day at Newmarket is a potential long-term target for Tommy Stack's exciting juvenile Accepted.

Following a debut victory at the Curragh and a Listed-race triumph at Tipperary, the youngster was sent to York last week for the Gimcrack Stakes.

Despite pulling fiercely for his head in the early stages, Accepted came home well to finish fifth in the Group Two contest and he could now drop back to five furlongs at Newmarket on October 17.

Stack's son and assistant, Fozzy, said: "He's come out of the race all right, so we'll just wait and have a think about where we should go next.

"He was very keen during the race the other day for whatever reason.
