Connections of Compass Hill are to discuss plans for the promising two-year-old over the weekend.
The Mizzen Mast colt, owned by Armada Racing Partnership, was an encouraging second on his debut over six furlongs at Naas earlier this month.
Trainer John Murphy gave Compass Hill an entry in the At The Races Champagne Stakes at Doncaster on September 13, but that is only one of several possible options for the youngster.
"He's a lovely horse. He's in good form. We gave him a break after his debut and he's in great shape," said the County Cork handler.
"He's ready to rock but we don't know where we go. I'm going to discuss it with the owners at the weekend. We'll see then where we take him.
"We're not going to race our two-year-olds much this year. We want to concentrate on their three-year-old career.
"We'll probably step him up to seven furlongs next time. He's going to be a miler in the finish.
"There's an option to go to Doncaster. We'll see how it goes. We're really looking forward to him."
