It's been an eventful month for a number of the Sports Scholars with television appearances, training camps and competitions.

Johnny Nelson interview

As Sports Scholarships announced its new association with Sky Academy, it was also revealed that former world champion boxer Johnny Nelson would join the scheme as spokesperson. In this two-part interview, we spoke to the Ringside presenter to get an insight into his new role, the highs and lows of his boxing career and life in the media since retiring from the sport.

Breen on Sportswomen

Paralympic sprinter Olivia Breen welcomed the SportsWomen cameras to her college and training base in St Albans to film a 'day in the life' style piece. Breen is also looking to try her hand at the long jump in the coming season. The film was shown on the SportsWomen programme on Sky Sports News.

Scholar in profile - Jason Quigley

Silver at the World Championships completed a remarkable year for Quigley following on from gold in the European Championships. That victory came in the middle of a run of that saw the 22-year-old from County Donegal go 32 bouts unbeaten ahead of the Worlds final. Even more incredible is that despite his tender age, Quigley is already the country's most decorated amateur middleweight boxer having been winning titles for a decade at national level and above.
