White set for Carlisle stint

Carlisle have signed defender Hayden White on a one-month loan deal from Bolton.

The 19-year-old moved to Wanderers from Sheffield Wednesday 15 months ago and has made three appearances in the Championship this term. White has also impressed when playing for the Under-21s at Bolton and United caretaker Paul Thirlwell hopes to see that form replicated in League Two. "Hayden is a right back who can play in a couple of positions along the back line," Thirlwell told the club's official website. "I think we all know we need a bit of strength in depth in that area at the moment so he will help us with that. "He's a big, strong lad who is very mobile and who is a good one against one defender. He's the kind of player who will add value to what we're trying to do. "He's played in Bolton's first team recently and he's shown he's ready to take on the challenge of trying to get regular league football. He's a player who has quality and it's up to him to meet that challenge head on now."
